A former executive director of the national Journalism Education Association, with experience spanning journalism, higher education, student media and nonprofit leadership. Former assistant professor at Kansas State University and editorial adviser to student media at Virginia Tech. Professional journalism experience includes newspaper editing roles in Las Vegas and Tallahassee, Florida. Service includes two terms on the board of directors of the Student Press Law Center and current work as global engagement director for the Journalism Education Association.
