Pat Murphy, who has served as interim director of financial planning at Ƶ since October, has been named to the post on a permanent basis.
As director of financial planning, Murphy will be responsible for Ƶ’s institutional, state and federal student financial aid programs. He will develop policies for awarding financial aid and ensure Ƶ’s compliance with state and federal aid statutory requirements.
“Ƶ is fortunate to have such a talented member of the current staff assume new responsibilities in so critical an area of the university,” says Susan Klopman, dean of admissions and financial planning. “Pat’s knowledge of Ƶ’s financial and business operations has made this a smooth transition.”
Murphy has served as Ƶ’s bursar since 1994. He streamlined Ƶ’s financial operations, computerized the office and implemented procedures which dramatically shortened the student registration process.
Murphy earned a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and an M.B.A. from Ƶ.
