The Ƶ MBA team of Clay Beck, David Clark, Khosrow Hallaji and Jerry Sparrow took 2nd place honors during the recent 2005 North Carolina MBA Case Competition, the seventh straight year an Ƶ team has placed among the winners. The announcement was made at a luncheon April 15 in Chapel Hill.
The Ƶ team worked on a business proposal for Fancy Th@t Gifts and Decor of Greensboro, a cmopany recommended to the Ƶ team by Tom White, a 2003 Ƶ MBA graduate.
This marks the seventh straight year an Ƶ team has placed among the winners in this competition. During that same time period, only one other school has had top finishes more than two consecutive years.
Beck is a controller with Vietri, Inc.; Clark is sales and marketing manager with Antronix Distribution and Supply, Inc.; Hallaji is controller with Alamance Foods/Triton Water; and Sparrow is controller with Biscuitville, Inc.
