Myers family establishes scholarship in honor of son

Ƶ parents Jim and Becky Myers of West Palm Beach, Fla., have established a scholarship in honor of their son, senior Jay Myers. The Myers Family Endowed Scholarship in Business will assist deserving business majors with financial need.

Jay Myers is a business and finance major in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business. He is involved in several organizations at Ƶ, including Sigma Chi fraternity and the Ƶ Interfraternity Council. He is a founding member of Pi Sigma Epsilon, a national sales marketing and management fraternity. Jay has also studied abroad twice, including a senior year trip to Peru.

Jim and Becky Myers are active members of Ƶ’s Parents Council, often hosting events at their home for new Ƶ families. They are dedicated donors to the university, making regular gifts to the Parents Fund and the endowment.

The Myers family created the scholarship to help make a business education available to a greater number of gifted students. The merit-based award will be presented to business students who exhibit strong financial need and excellence in leadership, character and intellect.
