Support recovery efforts in Haiti on Saturday, May 1, with the "Footsteps for Haiti" fundraiser at Belk Track. The four-hour event sponsored by Delta Sigma Theta and Alpha Omicron Pi begins at 8 a.m. and features games, food, live music and speakers who have visited the Caribbean nation still rebuilding from a January earthquake that killed a quarter million people.
Registration is $15. Organizers also welcome people who wish to register the morning of the event. Guest speakers include:
Tiffany Bacon: 2003 graduate of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ DPT program who spent a week in Haiti providing physical therapy services to children at the Love a Child Disaster Recovery Center
John McGreevy: a senior at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ who was in Haiti during the earthquake
Show support by either registering for the walk or by donating to the cause. . Registration forms are in the Multicultural Center and Greek Life office.
