Ƶ alumna Rachel Cieri, a 2010 graduate who majored in journalism, placed 11th in the Hearst Journalism Awards Feature Writing competition.

She was recognized for her story which centered on the stories of those Ƶ students who had been victimized by a local man who was indecently exposing himself around the town and campus.
Cieri, who served as features editor at The Pendulum, Ƶ Univeristy’s weekly student newspaper, is the third Pendulum student to place in a Hearst writing competition. Her finish put Ƶ in a tie for 10th place in the overall competition.
