The 4th Annual Family & Friends Day at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Law is scheduled for Saturday, September 24, 2011.
This event is a great way for the family and friends of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Law students to learn about the law school and what students do on a day-to-day basis.

9:30 a.m. Registration, light continental breakfast
10:00 a.m. Welcome and history of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ
10:45 a.m. Student panel
First-, second-, and third-year students answer your questions and discuss their law school experiences.
11:30 a.m. Break out session
Choose one of the following:
- Career Services – Staff of the Career Services Office and alumni discuss career trends
- Bar Preparation – Find out how ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Law prepares and works with our students on how to successfully pass the Bar exam
- Leadership at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ – Learn from distinguished faculty, as well as students, how ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ incorporates leadership development into legal education
12:30–1:30 p.m. Lunch
1:45–2:30 p.m. Academic Workshop*
2:45–3:30 p.m. Academic Workshop II*
*All academic workshops will be presented twice in the afternoon. Attendees may choose two from the workshops listed below:
- Criminal Law Class – Participate in a typical first-year Criminal Law class taught by a member of the law school faculty
- Business Law Class – Participate in an upper-class requirement class taught by a member of the law school faculty
- Hot Topics in the Law – Have an informal discussion with our faculty regarding a “hot topic”
- Moot Court Presentation – Members of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Moot Court Program will demonstrate courtroom skills and strategies
3:30 p.m. Reception in the Cemala Commons
In addition, there will be a silent auction in the Cemela Commons throughout the day beginning at 9:30 a.m. to benefit student scholarships.
Family and Friends Day is hosted by the Student Bar Association in conjunction with ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ School of Law.
