Pittman received an Upper Midwest Region Emmy Award for a story he produced for KSTP-TV in St. Paul, Minn.
Pittman was honored Sept. 29 by the Upper Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in the Feature News Report: Serious Single Story category.
Pittman was also nominated in three other categories in this year’s Emmy regional competition for a Light Single Story, Sports Single Story and as a Video Journalist.
This is Pittman’s second regional Emmy Award. He was honored in 2011 in the Video Journalist category.
Pittman earned his degree at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ in Communications and has received awards from the National Press Photographers Association as well. He was a recipient of the D’Angelo Family Scholarship at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ.
Pittman joined the staff of 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS in April 2011 after working for two years in Burlington, Vt., with Fox44 News.
