An annual event connects the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ LGBTQIA & Ally community family across incoming first-year students, current students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ faculty and staff remembered the namesake of Belk Library on Tuesday in a brief gathering to celebrate the life of a North Carolina philanthropist praised for her deep commitment to education.

The fun begins at 10:10 p.m. in McKinnon Hall in Moseley Center.

The namesake of the university’s library died Monday in Charlotte, North Carolina, two days shy of her 87th birthday. A brief remembrance service takes place today in the Oak Grove lounge on the south end of the library’s first floor.
