In October, Kirsten Carrier, assistant dean of campus life and director of residence life and Lucy Sneader, graduate apprentice for the Global Neighborhood, presented at the North Carolina Housing Officers (NCHO) conference in Greensboro, hosted by NC A&T.

While Braetan Peters ‘26 was enjoying the scenery during a Grand Canyon rafting trip, she was missing the comfort of her cell phone. Now, she’s turning that experience into her ������Ƶ College Fellows research, studying the connections people have with their devices.

Students participating in the fall Study USA Charlotte program have had a semester packed with professional development opportunities and place-based learning experiences.

The Oct. 31 program offered attendees hands-on demonstrations and discussions on how drones are reshaping industries from agriculture to public safety. New features this year included a lively drone soccer showcase by Asheboro City Schools and expanded sessions on AI applications, weather data, and flight authorization technology.
