The National Football League (NFL) is a professional American football league consisting of 32 teams, divided equally between the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC). The NFL is one of the four major North American professional sports leagues. The NFL is headquartered in New York, NY and has additional satellite offices around the country.

There are many opportunities for students and recent graduates at the NFL. The league offers summer internships for rising undergraduate senior students. The summer program covers a minimum of 10 weeks and interns work approximately 40 hours per week. Internship opportunities can include: Studio Operations and Production Management, Media Strategy and Business Development, Corporate and Litigation, International Commercial, Human Resources, Game Operations and Compliance, Football Strategy and Business Development, Football Data and Analytics, Football Communications, Data and Business Intelligence, CRM and Performance Marketing, Community Relations and Social Responsibility, IT Communications, Major Event Operations, and Network Engineering. Even though interns work within specific departments, they are able to explore all aspects of the business through project assignments, speaker presentations, mentoring relationships, and networking opportunities.

Additionally, the NFL offers a Junior Rotational Program, which provides recent graduates with project work assignments, league events, and networking opportunities across various departments. Program participants may complete up to four rotations over a two-year period in any one of the following offices or locations: NFL League Office (NY), NFL Media (CA), NFL Films (NJ), or NFL International Offices. Employer Highlight: National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) /u/news/2021/03/05/employer-highlight-national-eating-disorders-association-neda/ Fri, 05 Mar 2021 16:28:53 +0000 /u/news/?p=851506 The National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) is the largest nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by eating disorders. NEDA serves as a catalyst for prevention, cures and access to quality care.” NEDA is headquartered in New York City.

The National Eating Disorders Association offers several volunteer and internship opportunities through its national Helpline program. Both volunteers and interns receive and complete a comprehensive training in order to effectively support individuals and families affected by eating disorders. Volunteers and interns provide information and treatment options over the phone or through chat. This demonstrates a great internship or volunteer opportunity for students who would like to get a taste of what the field really looks like prior to graduate school. Both internship and volunteer opportunities for the Helpline are remote and students will receive training and supervision.

The difference between a volunteer and an intern falls under what the state of New York constitutes as an intern: they are either receiving academic credit or a stipend. All internships are unpaid and the number of interns per cycle changes as applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

These opportunities may attract many students interested in the social and behavioral science background, and they are open to all majors who want to learn and complete basic counseling training. NEDA’s volunteer program has a high retention rate; 37% of volunteers in 2020 were retained from the year prior.

Free LinkedIn Photos: January 19 12:20 to 3:20 pm /u/news/2021/01/08/free-linkedin-photos-january-19-1220-to-320-pm/ Fri, 08 Jan 2021 16:57:58 +0000 /u/news/?p=842006 Due to our ongoing effort to keep the campus community safe this winter, The Student Professional Development Center is unable to offer studio portraiture indoors. But outdoor portraiture is an option, weather permitting.

For students who do not have a professional portrait to use on LinkedIn, we will be hosting this opportunity for you, not by appointment. Participants will be photographed in the order in which they arrive. The sessions, are weather-dependent and may need to be cancelled if it’s windy or rainy.

Participants must observe all of the regular precautions — physical distancing and wearing face coverings — as they wait to be photographed. Once ready to be photographed, the participant can remove their face covering briefly for the photo and then put it back on. The photographer will remain masked throughout the sessions.

Additional sessions may be added if it’s safe to do so.
