During the event, small groups of students meet with community volunteers to discuss topics surrounding end-of-life care. Each participant first reflects individually, then joins their group in open, heartfelt dialogue.

The Essential Conversations in Healthcare workshop is celebrating its sixth year helping health care providers prepare for end-of-life conversations.

������Ƶ's first-person consent donors make a profound and intentional choice to invite students to learn. These "silent teachers" have intentionally decided to continue teaching even in death.

More than 160 families, friends, students and faculty filled the Sacred Space to honor the memory of 35 “silent teachers.”

The event was held for the fourth consecutive year in Moseley Center on Aug. 31.

LIFE@������Ƶ members toured the anatomy space in the Gerald Francis Center on Thursday, Nov. 16.

The event will focus on ������Ƶ's Anatomical Gift Program and will be held in Asheboro, N.C.

Dianne Person, director of ������Ƶ's Anatomical Gift Program, will present to ������Ƶ-Alamance Health Partner's staff on Wednesday, Aug. 23. 

������Ƶ's Anatomical Gift Program director and graduate students from the Physician Assistant Studies Program in the School of Health Sciences will present.
