School of Education hosts meeting of North Carolina’s educational materials professionals

Directors of Curriculum Materials Centers from 15 public and private colleges and universities met June 19 for their biannual meeting at the School of Education. Laura Williams, director of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ’s Curriculum Resource Center, hosted the meeting of the North Carolina CMC Association.
Summer courses popular in ’09

More than 1,300 students have enrolled in courses at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ for the first of two sessions this summer, a time many say they use to complete graduation requirements in advance of studying abroad or to explore topics they otherwise wouldn’t be able to fit into their regular semester schedules.

The national switch to digital television broadcasting on Friday spurred hundreds of calls to a phone bank at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ, where students and staff from the Federal Communications Commission assisted North Carolina viewers with complaints of lost TV signals or requests for analog-to-digital converter box coupons.
