Scholarship donors and students celebrate education and philanthropy

More than 250 people gathered in McKinnon Hall Monday night for the university’s annual scholarship dinner. Donors of need- and talent-based academic scholarships met with their student scholarship recipients and heard an update on the Ever ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Campaign and presentations from two Lumen Scholars.

Class of 2011 kicks off Senior Class Giving Campaign

About 3,000 people have watched President Leo M. Lambert's message about the important role that alumni play in ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ’s future, including making annual gifts to support the best of an ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ education. This is the first of several videos the president will share with alumni this year via e-mail, Facebook, Twitter and E-Net.

Final IGNITE Challenge results are in!

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Trustee Kerrii Brown Anderson '79 has declared The IGNITE Challenge "a big success." In a new video message, she thanks young alumni for answering her challenge to make gifts to ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ during February. Young alums and Anderson contributed a total of $205,028 to ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ.

More than 270 young alumni support ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ through The IGNITE Challenge

Since Feb. 1, 272 young alums have contributed $18,139 to the university as part of the Challenge, which was issued by ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ alumna and trustee Kerrii Brown Anderson ’79, former CEO of Wendy’s International, to boost participation in annual giving among graduates of the past decade. The Challenge, including a 5-to-1 match by Anderson, concludes on Feb. 28.
