ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Law’s Innocence Project hosts ’90s themed fundraiser

On January 19, the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Law Innocence Project held an event in downtown Greensboro to raise awareness of wrongful convictions. The fundraiser was a '90s themed dance party that was attended by more than 90 ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ students and helped raise $270 for the Innocence Project. Second-year law students Brennan Aberle and Danielle Appelman organized the event.

Steve Friedland elected to The American Law Institute

Jim Exum selected to Co-Chair Judicial Independence Committee

Former Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court and ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Law Distinguished Jurist-in-Residence James G. Exum, Jr. has been selected to co-chair the North Carolina Bar Association's Judicial Independence Committee. The committee is charged with reviewing the state's system for selecting judges and advising on reforms to improve the system.
