Diversity Day welcomes high school and college students to ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Law

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Law's fifth annual Diversity Day welcomed minority high school and college students, among others, to a day of information about legal education and opportunities for careers in law. Students and their families attended the February 11 event, featuring The Honorable James Randolph Spencer, the first African-American Judge of the United States District Court of the Eastern District of Virginia.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Law Professor Scott Gaylord defends North Carolina's system of judicial elections in the article "Judicial Independence Revisited: Judicial Elections and Missouri Plan Challenges," published in the North Carolina Law Review's online supplement, Addendum. In addition, he published an op-ed on the subject in the Feb. 1, 2012 edition of the News & Observer.
