The 5,100-seat, 160,000-square-foot facility will provide a premier gathering space for major campus events and serve as the new home for ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's basketball and volleyball programs when it opens this year.

Five graduates of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ School of Law were among 16 attorneys selected for the North Carolina Bar Association's Leadership Academy, a program designed to "help young lawyers become more effective leaders in their communities." 

Twenty-three ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Music Theatre alumni will be seen this spring on Broadway and on tour in hit shows like "Dear Evan Hansen," "Hamilton," "Wicked," and "The Book of Mormon," and in brand-new musicals coming to Broadway like "Mean Girls," "Head Over Heels," and "Summer: The Donna Summer Musical."

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students, faculty and staff gathered in Alumni Gym Tuesday, Feb. 27, to recognize President Leo M. Lambert and Laurie Lambert for their 19 years of service to the university.

The honorees are young alumni who have achieved major professional success, serve as difference-makers in their communities and loyally support ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ as partners, advocates and investors.

The Charlotte Alumni Chapter hosted its annual professional development event with four alumni speakers. 

Ben DeLoose’s new movie, “Escape the Dark,” will be shown at the Carolina Theater in Durham on Friday, Feb. 23, and Saturday, Feb. 24.

Strategic communications major Rachel Hobbs ’18 was one of two finalists for the national award, which was presented at the 2018 PRWeek Awards Dinner and Presentation on March 15.

Among medium-sized colleges and universities, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ ranked No. 16 for the number of Peace Corps volunteers it produced in 2017. Last year, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law launched a new fellows program to help returned Peace Corps volunteers become lawyers.
