Alumni and members of the class of 2017 who invest in ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s future by May 31 will be able to personalize a campus brick. 

Sayag, who graduated in 2011, is a third-grade teacher at McDougle Elementary School in Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools. 

The 24th annual Phillips-Perry Black Excellence Awards celebration recognized students for academic achievement and involvement in the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Experiences.

Ralph Mueller ’83, Michael Capps ’99 and Carly Ledbetter ’13 were honored with the 2017 ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ College Distinguished Alumni Awards during an April 27 ceremony.

Students and colleagues at a celebration of life praised Michael L. Rich, the university's Maurice Jennings Emerging Scholar and an associate professor who died in December, for his selflessness, his passion for teaching and research, and his deep love of family.

The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law Alumni Association recognized Kristin Thompson Seum '10 L'13, Jim Grant L’12, Adrianne Edmonds Poe L'11 and Angelique Ryan L'16 for contributions to their professions, their communities, and their alma mater during ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law Alumni Reunion Weekend.

The Broadway shows “Hello, Dolly!” and “Anastasia,” as well as the National Tour of “Aladdin” officially opened this week and featureng ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Music Theatre alumni.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's chapter of the national honor society held its formal induction ceremony on April 24, 2017, in McKinnon Hall.
