Five members of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ community and one School of Communications graduate attended the 12th annual conference of The Forum on Education Abroad.  

The Los Angeles-based technology consultant noted that his connection to his alma mater continues to grow with every passing year, thanks to the friends and mentors he found on campus.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Trustee Cecil Worsley ’86 P’14 and his wife, JoAnna ’87 P’14, will match all gifts to ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Athletics up to $50,000 if 500 new donors are secured by May 13.

Four accomplished ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ School of Law graduates – David L. Morrow II '07 L’10, Jennifer L. Reutter L’10, Alvaro De La Calle L’12 and Elizabeth “Beth” Klein L’12 – were recognized this month for their contributions to the legal profession and support of their alma mater.

Fourteen board members and guests visited campus April 8 to share their professional insight and receive an up-close look at the school’s facilities expansion.

Brett Evans ’13, co-owner of Piedmont Biofarm in Pittsboro, gave a talk titled “From Liberal Arts to Local Agriculture: a Young Farmer’s Views on Food.”

The author will talk about her experience researching her first book, "Joy: Poet, Seeker, and the Woman Who Captivated C. S. Lewis," which tells the story of the intricate life of Joy Davidman, the woman who captivated C.S. Lewis late in his life.

Alumni Olivia Varney, Hannah Allen and Jamie Albright, who majored in public health studies, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ student Jenna Nelson and faculty members, Alexis Moore and Cindy Fair, all presented at the Society of Adolescent Health and Medicine in Washington, D.C.

The reporter at KOMO-TV in Seattle and recipient of four regional Emmys during his television career presented one of his awards to Communications Dean Paul Parsons to display in the school’s lobby.
