Noel Lee Allen, a 1969 ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ alumnus whose distinguished legal career has won international accolades, received an honorary doctor of humane letters during ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s Convocation for Honors on March 31. The degree was conferred by President Leo M. Lambert and presented by John G. Sullivan, professor emeritus of philosophy.

President Leo M. Lambert, Love School of Business Dean Mary Gowan, five business students and other friends of the university sounded the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange on March 9 on a day when Wall Street celebrated ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's academic achievements.

More than 250 alumni, parents and friends gathered at The Plaza Hotel in Manhattan March 9 for the New York launch of Ever ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ: The Campaign for the Future of Our University.

The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Alumni Association and regional alumni chapters will host the third-annual Welcome to the City events to help graduates get settled in new cities.

A collection of postcards maintained by Belk Library offers a window into ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ history, from faded photos of the Old Main administration building that burned in 1923 to a newly opened Alumni Gym a quarter century later. Some of those postcards are now available for the public to view just by hopping online.
