Rebecca Pope-Ruark was awarded the two-year, $10,000 grant by the Conference on College Composition and Communication Research Initiative. 

Jessica Wery, assistant professor of education, has served in leadership roles with the international nonprofit during the past four years. 

The grant will fund a project focusing on the challenges of women of color in science and math educational settings.
