Victoria Fischer Faw, professor of music at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ, has been named president-elect of the N.C. Music Teachers Association.  

The grant will help fund his project, "On the Edge: Launching a Regional Interdisciplinary Symposium in the Southeast.”

As part of the “Collaborative Humanities Redesign Project” (CHRP), a three-year interdisciplinary, cross-campus initiative funded by Teagle Foundation, faculty from ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ, Park and Rockhurst universities and the University of Kansas came together for the third time this September to collaborate on instructional design with the goal to enhance teaching in the humanities.

Heather Hutchings, August recipient of Acorn Accolade, is praised for her innovation in Colleague, OnTrack, and Informer, as well as dedication to inclusiveness.

Boyle will read with the three other winners of the contest in Southern Pines on Sept. 17.

Professor Carmen Monico's work in Guatemala was funded through a Core Fulbright U.S. Scholar Award. 

The grant will support the Refugee Assistance Program at the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ School of Law. 

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ President Leo M. Lambert bestowed the university's highest honor upon five retired faculty and staff members for their meritorious service to the university. 

The grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities will support a two-week institute directed by Professor Ann J. Cahill in the department of philosophy.

Stefanie Poe, campus technology support lead at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ, is the July recipient of the Acorn Accolade award.
