Twenty-eight members of Class of 2020 were honored during the annual cultural ceremony held on Saturday, Sept. 4.

Thom Ruhe, president and CEO of NC IDEA, will be presented with the ������Ƶ Medal for Entrepreneurial Leadership on Oct. 7 at 5 p.m. in the LaRose Digital Theatre.

The 2022 edition of “The Best 387 Colleges” guide has recognized ������Ƶ for consistent excellence in college operations, career services, its campus, performing arts productions and residential facilities.

Faculty garner awards for Excellence in Mentoring, Service-Leadership, Teaching and Scholarship. Program and administrative assistants were recognized for hard work during COVID.

The professorships, announced during the university's Opening Day for the new academic year, support members of the faculty from a variety of disciplines across the university.

������Ƶ faculty and staff will participate in a full week of activities, gatherings and workshops as ������Ƶ kicks off the 2021-22 academic year on Monday, Aug. 16, at Opening Day.

Since women's sports gained varsity recognition in 1971, ������Ƶ has claimed more than 30 regular season or tournament championships, as well as earning 13 national postseason appearances.

The award supports the "MOve Virtually with ������Ƶ (MO.V.E.) Program for Individuals with Parkinson's Disease" project.

Associate Professor Ben Hannam, ������Ƶ graduate Rachel Cifarelli ’21, and current students Catherine Nester ’22 and Grayson Meadors ’22 were recognized in more than a dozen competition categories.
