The senior elementary education major and environmental education minor recently published an article in the international journal Environmental Education Research on the role of gender in nature-based learning experiences, and is immersed in the classroom as a student-teacher.

The designation by nonpartisan organizations Fair Elections Center’s Campus Vote Project and NASPA – Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education recognizes efforts by ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ to encourage voter registration and participation during the 2020 elections.

The annual service opportunities will take place closer to campus this year, with students invited to work with community organizations in programs taking place March 19-21.

Campus Compact has named Anna Gillespie '24 a recipient of a Newman Civic Fellowship, which recognizes and supports community-oriented students and is named for Frank Newman, a founder of Campus Compact.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ President Connie Ledoux Book joined with Margaret Dudley, director of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law’s Emergency Legal Services Program, and Barbara Spencer L’21 on visits to resource centers for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and elder abuse in Guilford and Alamance counties.

The associate professor of strategic communications, with more than 30 years of professional experience in the corporate communications and public relations industry, will help lead the cross-industry coalition committed to improving diversity, equity and inclusion in the communications field.

The Peace Corps, in commemoration of its 60th anniversary, will host a virtual panel discussion at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ focused on the value of international service.
