Faculty and staff gathered in Schar Center on Monday morning to celebrate the accomplishments of three ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Medallion recipients and two endowed professorships, as well as hear President Connie Ledoux Book's opening address.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ faculty and staff will participate in a full week of activities, gatherings and workshops as the university looks to begin the 2022-23 academic year.

Among those visiting ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ will be actress and activist Ashley Judd, CNN medical correspondent Sanjay Gupta, Pulitzer Prize finalist and author Tommy Orange and author and neuroscientist Wendy Suzuki.

Students, faculty and staff are invited to take part in this dialogue on Monday, Sept. 26 at 4:30 p.m. in Lakeside 212.

The first 14 ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Freedom Scholars completed a two-week summer residential program July 1 focused on the study of democracy, leadership and social action. They will continue working with ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ faculty and undergraduates and community leaders throughout their senior year of high school.

Members of the university community gathered on Young Commons on Monday, June 27, for the Pride Month Community Celebration.

The 52nd class will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in a ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 17, at 2 p.m. inside Schar Center.
