Members of the faculty at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law published books, participated in conferences, and engaged national and local media on legal current affairs this summer. Some of their activities and achievements are noted in this article.

Byung Lee, an associate professor of Communications, presented research and served as a the main instructor for a full-day workshop at two professional conferences in August.

School of Communications visiting professor Brian Walsh produced a 20-minute documentary this summer about Bushwick Creek, a small inlet of water off the East River that nestles between the towns of Greenpoint and Williamsburg in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Robert H. Moorman joins ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s faculty this month as the Frank S. Holt, Jr., Professor of Business Leadership in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business. Named in honor of the former president of Holt Manufacturing Co. in Burlington, N.C., the professorship honors the vision, leadership and compassion that were trademarks of Frank Holt’s career.

Betsy Stevens, an associate professor of business administration at the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, received a citation award this summer from the Journal of Business Ethics for her article, “An Analysis of Corporate Ethical Code Studies: Where Do We Go From Here?”

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ President Leo M. Lambert used his opening of school address on Monday morning to emphasize the financial constraints that many families face when deciding on college, and how ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ must continue to expand its scholarship offerings to students at a time of national economic uncertainty.
