ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ is once again recognized for the highest percentage rate of study abroad in the nation and for the first time is ranked among the top 10 doctoral universities for total study abroad participation.

Hamel and Vandermast, together with co-authors from Dartmouth College and Grinnell College, published a study in the fall 2021 issue of Scholarship and Practice of Undergraduate Research, a peer-reviewed journal of the Council of Undergraduate Research.

The generous estate gift from The Rev. Joyce Myers-Brown ’59 of Atlanta will deepen funding for a scholarship she established in 2011 to increase access to global study. The gift is part of A Will to Lead, a special initiative of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ LEADS Campaign to encourage donors to include the university in their estate plans.

As part of their sophomore Periclean coursework, members of the Periclean Scholars Class of 2024 created interactive exercises and discussion questions related to the Common Reading, and worked with fellow ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students as peer-educators to facilitate engagement with this text.

Joshua Hollands, lecturer at University College London Institute of the Americas, will be a visiting professor of history at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ. His teaching will focus on social justice movements in the LGBTQ community in the United States.

Goodman, a junior cinema and television arts major, traveled to Tokyo this summer to work as a runner assigned to an NBC digital team, where he edited video and collaborated with media industry professionals.

This effort supports the work of Sarvodaya in an island-wide plan to promote local agriculture and increase food security and family income.
