Events on campus throughout the day provided the opportunity for students, faculty and staff to celebrate the university.

Efforts by Hannah Joly L'19 led to the establishment of the School of Law Bar Support Fund managed by the Office of Academic Success.

In her new role, Maity Interiano ’07 will lead the weekend evening edition of the network’s national newscast, “Noticiero Univision.” Interiano serves as one of the alumni co-chairs of the $250 million ������Ƶ LEADS Campaign.

Construction is scheduled to be completed this summer with Founders Hall and IQ 2 slated to open to faculty, staff and students in August.

Led by Associate Professor Hal Walker, the service-learning class coordinated an October fundraiser to support the Burlington-based nonprofit organization.

The long-time, generous ������Ƶ parent passed away Saturday, Dec. 11, at the age of 88.

The scholarship in memory of Dean Emeritus & Professor of Law George R. Johnson, Jr., will be awarded to students who have a commitment to promoting the ideals of diversity, equity, and inclusion at ������Ƶ Law and within the legal profession.

To honor their late son Joey, ������Ƶ parents Mike and Karen Brocato P’16 have endowed a Teaching Fellows scholarship to support students studying special education. Their gift to the ������Ƶ LEADS Campaign will also create a second Teaching Fellows scholarship for students pursuing teaching in a STEM field.

The generous estate gift from The Rev. Joyce Myers-Brown ’59 of Atlanta will deepen funding for a scholarship she established in 2011 to increase access to global study. The gift is part of A Will to Lead, a special initiative of the ������Ƶ LEADS Campaign to encourage donors to include the university in their estate plans.

A Burlington home near ������Ƶ will benefit the campus community through the generosity of a local family with a distinguished reputation in North Carolina’s legal and business communities.
