The Chandler Family Professional Sales Center recognized Sophie Pearson ’17 and Brett Huntley ’17 with the Earl D. Honeycutt, Jr. Sales Leadership Award.

Josephine Gardner, a public health studies major from Maine, has received the Samuel Huntington Public Service Award to grow a nonprofit she founded to empower low-income women in Ethiopia. 

A new event, Women at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ: Moving Philanthropy Forward, offered a variety of perspectives on how women can become involved in giving. 

During a May 3 awards ceremony, Alexis de Groot ’17 and Kelly Siewers ’17 were recognized with Major of the Year Awards and alumnus Brad Holloman ’09 served as a guest speaker, sharing advice from his career in the sports industry.

The School of Education hosted its first Celebration of Excellence event on Thursday, May 4, and recognized outstanding achievements and academic excellence of the class of 2017.

Bruce Nelson, former Office Depot chief executive officer, spoke at the ceremony  that honored Martha and Spencer Love School of Business students who were selected by the honor society for their distinguished academic performance.

’s Student Seminars offer a chance for students to share their perspectives on engaged learning and to build relationships with faculty exploring learning experiences on campus.

The annual showcase, which features approximately 20 student works this year, is slated for Friday, May 5, from 5 to 7 p.m.
