A spring competition to reduce landfill waste began Feb. 15 with opportunities for teams and individuals to win prizes.

Visions Magazine, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's environmental and sustainability magazine, is looking for student submissions. 

A van service from ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s campus to the PART Route 4 bus stop at Alamance Regional Medical Center is being piloted from Feb. 22- March 18.

Elaine Durr, director of sustainability, has earned the Certified Sustainability Professional designation through the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP-CSP).

This spring semester regular sustainability tours will be offered at the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Environmental Center at Loy Farm and on main campus. 

Paper, glass, aluminum and plastics can now be placed in the same recycling bins around the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ campus.

Students can apply to live in a Learning Community from Jan. 8 – Feb. 8.

The Office of Sustainability offers programs and resources for students, faculty and staff who want to make a positive impact on the environment by changing behaviors, conducting research and educating peers about the way human activities affect the planet.

The newest cohort of scholars will participate in a program that helps ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ faculty integrate sustainability into an existing course.
