Four graduating seniors will work with Alamance County health organizations through a new community initiative that encourages students to pursue a year of service following their collegiate studies.

Graduating senior Kyle Hoganson spent much of the past year taking photos of Fonville Fountain from the same spot under the Alamance portico – and a new photo collage is his gift to the university community.

Eight varsity teams have received recognition from the NCAA for their commitment to academic progress and retention of student-athletes.

Daniel Sheehan, a human service studies and strategic communications double major, begins his career after ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ with a fellowship in New York City that develops "the next generation of aspiring change makers."

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ senior entrepreneurship major Kimberly Gersh leveraged a summer work experience into a permanent position by using her personal network and seeking resume and cover letter feedback from the Student Professional Development Center.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ senior Rachel Mehaffey used the university's top prize for undergraduate research and creative achievements to study the way dancers interpret what they are asked to perform on stage and in the classroom.

The Society of Professional Journalists recognized the School of Communications students as Mark of Excellence Award recipients.  

A student-led dance marathon raised more than $180,000 in April to support a North Carolina hospital that helps young patients and their families fight life-threatening conditions.

Jason Waterman '14, a communication science major and former men’s soccer standout, travels to Asia for a year starting next winter as part of a federal program that builds good will between the United States and people of other nations.
