More than a dozen events in February will honor African-American contributions to the campus and the world as ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ celebrates Black History Month.

Assistant Professor Buffie Longmire-Avital and young alumna Brenda Reavis '15 have co-authored an article in a forthcoming edition of the Journal of Black Psychology examining the ideal and non-negotiable characteristics emerging adult Black American women look for in potential male partners. 

The special issue of 'Perspectives on Undergraduate Research and Mentoring' contains five research articles.

The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ African Society, in collaboration with CREDE, the Global Education Center, African and African American Studies, and the Latin American Student Organization, hosts ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's first Africa Week, celebrating Africa's influence around the world.
