The honorees are alumni from the past decade who have achieved major professional success, serve as difference-makers in their communities, and loyally support ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ as partners, advocates and investors.

Bia Jurema ’15, a School of Communications alumna, directed, shot and edited a video currently playing on the arena’s LED screens during NBA games and concerts.

Laith al-Majali '05 is part of a team that has earned the nation of Jordan its first ever Academy Award nomination for Best Foreign Language Film.

Assistant Professor Buffie Longmire-Avital and young alumna Brenda Reavis '15 have co-authored an article in a forthcoming edition of the Journal of Black Psychology examining the ideal and non-negotiable characteristics emerging adult Black American women look for in potential male partners. 

The former ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ women’s basketball standout with a distinguished career in collegiate and professional coaching will join eight other North Carolina sports figures to be formally enshrined during a May induction banquet.

The human service studies major from South Carolina excelled in the classroom and on the field this fall for the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Phoenix football team, earning him honors from the Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association. 

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ School of Law has created the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law Legal Incubator to support ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law graduates who wish to develop solo law practices and to create opportunities for lawyers to provide reduced-cost legal services for low-income residents of Guilford County. 

The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ music theatre alum joins the casts of “Disney Dreams,” “Twice Charmed,” and the world premiere of “Tangled.”
