North Carolina State Capitol representatives honored ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Alumnus Ray Beck ’75 on June 1 when he retired as the capitol’s historical researcher and site manager after more than 30 years.

Rain clouds gave way to a crystal blue sky as the 118th Commencement exercises got underway May 24, 2008, when bachelor degrees were conferred on the largest graduating class in ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ history.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ alumna Katherine Southard was named 2nd runner up this month in the 2008 Miss North Carolina Scholarship Pageant, two years after surgery to correct a spinal condition that threatened her heart and lungs.
