ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ reflects on the impact made by alumni and families throughout the 2023-24 fiscal year.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ recognizes the 10 staff members who are retiring after years of dedicated service to the campus community.

The projects and programs span disciplines and include opportunities for community engagement, cross-cultural dialogue and interaction with ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ alumni.

The conference, called Integrating Research in Science (IRIS), was held at Wake Forest University on Saturday, April 20, with nearly 70 attendees from more than 10 different nearby colleges and universities attending.

Associate Professor of Management Brian Lyons and Professor of Chemistry Joel Karty were recognized for their contributions to their fields and the university community during the Faculty/Staff Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, May 14.

Thirteen undergraduates and one alumnus presented undergraduate research at four regional and national conferences in 2023-24.

Four female professionals, including ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ alumna Amber Smith ’14, will share advice and experience with ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students from 6:30- 8 p.m. Wed., March 13, in McKinnon Hall.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ seniors Christopher D’Inzeo, Samuel Ramirez and Genesis Tolbert have been awarded the NIH Undergraduate Scholarship.

The event was planned by ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's leadership team overseeing a six-year, $377,800 grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute to transform first-year STEM experiences and promote belonging in STEM programs among historically underrepresented groups.

Ten individuals nominated by their colleagues were recipients of five annual awards recognizing contributions to teaching, mentoring, scholarship and service.
