Ten alumni who graduated in the past 10 years were recognized with the Top 10 Under 10 Alumni Awards on April 14 for their professional success, service as difference-makers in their communities and loyal support of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ.

The journalism major was selected to attend the National Association of Hispanic Journalists conference in Miami from July 18-21 and work alongside professionals covering the convention.

Ford will join ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ after serving as a senior administrator and faculty member at Syracuse University and Howard University.

Twelve board members and guests visited ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ on April 6 to learn about the priorities of the School of Communications, share their professional insights with students and faculty, and celebrate the tenure of Communications Dean Paul Parsons.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ, a Campus Consortium partner of the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, hosted an April 5 community lecture featuring veteran reporters Rachel Oswald, Reza Sayah and Tom Hundley.

The film, “The Nature of Consciousness,” was an official selection of the Women’s Independent Film Festival in Los Angeles and earned the top award in the experimental category.
