The journalistic career of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ alumna Marjorie Hunter '42 was the focus of research presented by Harlen Makemson, associate professor of communications, at a conference at New York University March 9.

Lucinda Austin, an assistant professor in the School of Communications, received $2,500 from the Arthur W. Page Center at the Pennsylvania State University for her proposal, "Examining Principles for Ethical Public Relations Through Use of Social Media."

The Communications Alumni Network recognized Ross Wade, the former assistant director of career services for the School of Communications, as the "World's Most Extraordinary Careers Mentor."
