Beatles expertise puts ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ professor in the news

State and regional media turned to an ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ faculty member this week for commentary on the release of "The Beatles: Rock Band" and the group's remastered studio albums, which hit stores Wednesday and exposes a new generation to the Fab Four's music. Associate professor Michael Frontani shared with reporters his expertise from research into his 2007 book The Beatles: Image and the Media.

North Carolina OneWebDay Celebration Sept. 22

North Carolina's OneWebDay (http://onewebday.org/) celebration is being hosted by ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ's Imagining the Internet Center and the students of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ's Interactive Media Master's Program. It will take place at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 22 at the Academic Village Plaza at the intersection of Haggard Avenue and O'Kelly Avenue on the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ campus.

A program directed by ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ School of Communications 2002 graduate Audrey Seagraves has received a prestigious international technology award. The online "Fair Wage Guide," managed by Seagraves, is a tool to assist millions of workers in the developing world who live below the poverty level.
