Assistant Professor of Music Robin Attas gave conference presentations at conferences for the International Association for the Study of Popular Music (US and Canada branches), the Canadian University Music Society, and Analytical Approaches to World Music.

The 39-year Navy veteran recently commanded the North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command.

The lecturer in music introduced, explained and demonstrated an original and innovative student-led listening exercise that helps students visualize sonic locations of the aural components of a commercial music production.

Amy Overman, associate professor of psychology, is awarded ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s first grant from the National Institutes of Health to study age-related changes in memory. 

The associate professor of music worked with K-12 general music teachers and band and choral directors in LaFourche Parish, Louisiana.

The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ alumnus will oversee 15,000 students and more than 70 undergraduate/graduate degree programs as the university’s inaugural vice chancellor for academic affairs and provost.

The professor of music had an article published in the professional trumpet journal.

The one-hour school receptions allowed students to introduce parents to faculty mentors, laugh with friends and celebrate personal transformation.

Eight graduates in ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s Class of 2016 have accepted positions with and will begin their placements this fall.
