The Department of World Languages and Cultures, in collaboration with Sigma Delta Pi Honor Society and Global Neighborhood, hosted Lula Carballo, a Canadian author whose family migrated to Canada from Uruguay, and Émilie Guerette, a Canadian documentary filmmaker.

Karunatilaka’s “The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida” won the 2022 Booker Prize. He discussed his works with Assistant Professor of English Dinidu Karunanayake in Turner Theatre.

A new campus garden, planned for completion this fall, will embody peace and justice at ������Ƶ.

The event was held Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Snow Camp Outdoor Theater and involved students, faculty and staff scanning and digitizing local historical artifacts.

Abdo is the author of “American Refuge: True Stories of the Refugee Experience," and spoke at ������Ƶ Community Church on Thursday, Sept. 26.
