ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ alumna Shelby McKay ’13, senior academic advisor at George Washington University, provided a keynote address at the May 7 awards ceremony, highlighting her professional path and the influence of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s community, while also sharing words of wisdom with the soon-to-be graduates.

The coordinating producer of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Sports Vision, formerly Maroon Sports, returned to her native Minnesota to support three of the network’s basketball-centric shows.

The April 23 event is headlined by a keynote address from former NBA Commissioner David Stern, followed by two panel discussions addressing the business impact and regulation of legalized sports betting. Tickets are on sale through April 17; ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students, faculty and staff can attend at no cost, but must register in advance.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ was named PRWeek’s 2019 Outstanding Education Program and was celebrated at the PRWeek Awards dinner and presentation on March 21 in New York City.

As ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ hits the midpoint of its semester and heads into spring break, community members will likely head home, maybe travel, certainly relax and – undoubtedly – stream content. Thanks to the School of Communications’ new channel available on Roku devices, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ-produced content has never been more accessible.
