Geothermal system to heat & cool Colonnades

What’s an earth-friendly way to cool down a residence hall? Take energy from warm indoor air and drop it hundreds of feet underground. ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ started work this summer on a geothermal field that will heat and cool the Colonnades residence halls near the Koury Business Center, including three buildings scheduled to open in July 2011.

Death of staff member Millard Lee

Millard Lee, a custodian for physical plant services, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009. Lee worked in the afternoons at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ and was responsible for custodial service in the Center for the Arts offices and music rooms, as well as monitoring special events there in the evenings.
