The associate professor in ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's Department of Physical Therapy Education was awarded Fellowship at the recently held Annual Conference in Denver, Colorado.

Faculty members and students from Department of Performing Arts, Department of Exercise Science and Department of Physical Therapy Education led an interactive, hands-on STEAM-based session for students from ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Academy at the Francis Center.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's Doctor of Physical Therapy program was represented strongly at the Annual Meeting of the American College of Sports Medicine in Denver, CO. Alicia Wilson and James Gerosa, second-year DPT students, also won awards at the conference.

Mellow, who is on track to graduate in December with her bachelor’s degree in nursing, received the Citizen’s Award from the Greensboro Police Department for her efforts to save a driver following a wreck.

Ann Heil, third-year DPT student, and Kelly O'Daniel, second-year DPT student, came together last year to found the Dance Special Interest Group (SIG).

The discipline of nursing is unique in its holistic approach to clients when developing a plan of care. Using an innovative approach entitled "The Puzzle Project", nursing student's in Professor Koonts NRS 2200 Health Assessment Class learned this first hand by making puzzles.

Tracey Thurnes, Antoinette Polito and Crystal Ramsey traveled internationally in recent months to share their scholarship on topics that included the use of design thinking when approaching difficult conversations, destigmatizing patients with obesity, and treatments for traumatic brain injuries.

ABSN students became certified through Prevent Blindness NC to complete mass vision screenings at local schools.

Zac Ormond DPT'23 and Alicia Wilson DPT'24 were recognized at the 30th annual Phillips-Perry Black Excellence Awards Celebration on April 22.

Tiffany Morris, associate professor and chair of the Department of Nursing, and Elizabeth Van Horn, associate professor in nursing, presented at the Nursing Education Research Conference (NERC) held in Washington, D.C.
