Aquatic Physical Therapy in Raleigh, North Carolina

A group of students from ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s Engineering Club and Engineering World Health traveled Oct. 23 to the Southeast Regional Meeting of the Biomedical Engineering Society in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The third annual event for ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ graduate students in the Physician Assistant Studies program helped prepare the future medical professionals for aiding patients who struggle with mental health issues, poverty, a lack of education and other obstacles to healthy living.

The Greensboro Aquatic Center held a U.S. Masters Swim Camp and partnered with ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's Associate Professor of Physical Therapy Education Daryl Lawson and third-year student Laura Wilson to screen swimmers prior to camp. 

The assistant professor of Physical Therapy Education's presentation was called "Effects of Different Perturbation Levels During Fall Risk Assessment for Older Adults at Higher Fall Risk." 

A race hosted by graduate students in ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's Physician Assistant Studies program aims to raise $10,000 in support of a clinic that provides care for those in need in the Alamance County community. 

Graduate students in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program are examining the impact of HIIT on body weight an fitness in college-aged women.
