In this week’s ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law Now faculty commentary series, Professor Margaret Kantlehner describes the legal battle over the remains of Olympian Jim Thorpe, illustrating the value of wills.

Comprised of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ faculty across a range of departments and schools, including business, communications, computer science, law and political science, speakers will discuss their research and the law and policy concerns they encounter.

In this week’s ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law Now faculty commentary series, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law Dean Luke Bierman supports a landmark ruling on pension protection by the Illinois Supreme Court and calls for creative thinking on a national scale to ensure fair and effective state budget solutions.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law student Meghan Williford has been recognized by the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys (NCAWA) with their annual award named in honor of retired Chief Justice Sarah Parker of the Supreme Court of North Carolina. 

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law's sixth annual Billings, Exum & Frye National Moot Court Competition will take place Thursday, March 31 through Saturday, April 2, 2016.  

 

Chad Archer L’15 is the recipient of the 2015 David Gergen Award for Leadership and Professionalism. 

North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper delivered the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ School of Law commencement address on May 23 before 79 members of the Class of 2015.

Members of the Class of 2015 at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law welcomed family members and friends to the law school on May 22 to celebrate achievements of the class on the eve of commencement ceremonies.
