Fewer than three percent of the state’s lawyers were named to Business North Carolina magazine’s “Legal Elite” in 2015, including De La Calle, who won the “Young Guns” category, and eight other ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law alumni.

National and regional news reports about ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law’s groundbreaking new curriculum have emphasized the value, experiential focus and pioneering nature of the school’s new approach. 

Law students working on legal recommendations to transform how condemned and vacant homes are revitalized were featured Jan. 6 on WGHP Fox 8 News.  

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law is an executive partner in the coalition advancing a new Guilford County Family Justice Center, which will house 17 provider agencies and create a single point of access for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse and elder abuse.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law invites members of the legal community to socialize with ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law students, faculty, alumni and prospective students on Thursday, January 22 at 6:30 p.m.

All prospective students and their guests are invited to join members and friends of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law community for a special forum honoring the legal legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. The forum will take place at the law school on Thursday, Jan. 22, at 5:30 p.m., with a reception to follow. 

The faculty, students and alumni of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law contribute to the improvement of law and policy through cutting-edge scholarship, significant professional service and outstanding achievement in their areas of practice.

Would you trust a doctor with no practical experience to operate on you unsupervised? For most, the answer is a resounding no. Luckily, nearly all U.S. physicians participate in a full-time residency, working under the supervision of an attending physician, as part of their training to practice medicine. ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ believes that emerging lawyers, like physicians, should engage in full-time, supervised residencies as part of their professional training.
