Many of the top students in ������Ƶ Law’s Class of 2023 were celebrated in a November 13 evening event that applauded leadership and service in a variety of organizations and signature programs.

SBA executive board members and class representatives help lead an umbrella organization that governs law school student groups and committees while the Honor Council is responsible for the administration of procedures set forth in the Honor Code created and adopted by students.

Josephus Thompson III performed original works in the 5th Annual “High Rhymes and Misdemeanors” Poetry Slam hosted by the School of Law’s Legal Method & Communication Program and ������Ƶ’s Center for Writing Excellence.

A team comprised of nearly two dozen ������Ƶ Law students and friends finished on top of its divisional standings this fall in a City of Greensboro adult coed kickball league.

Professor David S. Levine will work for two years with other scholars in an interdisciplinary program founded by the University of Milan dedicated to study legal informatics, cyberspace law and “digital transformation law.” 

Students interested in food and agriculture law, climate policy, energy regulation, and animal protection can apply ������Ƶ Law coursework toward a master’s degree from one of the nation’s top-ranked environmental law programs.

The acclaimed college basketball analyst and attorney shared leadership advice and wisdom from his days as a student athlete and assistant under legendary Duke men’s basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski.

������Ƶ Law leaders dedicated the Jetton & Meredith, PLLC Student Lounge during a visit to campus by two accomplished alumni whose leadership gift helped establish an endowed scholarship in memory of a beloved former dean.  

Two students from Florida International University won an annual contest hosted by the Moot Court Board that required this year’s teams to answer the question: does a ban on talking with minor patients about conversion therapy violate a doctor’s First Amendment rights to free speech?

������Ƶ Law alumnus Matt Krueger-Andes L’11 and sister Juli Krueger-Andes have made a gift to endow a scholarship to honor their father, David Andes ’65. The David A. Andes and Family Internship Endowment will provide financial assistance to students pursuing these life-changing experiences.
