Roland Smith tapped as special adviser to NCBA task force

Roland Smith, Skeens-Watson Visiting Professor of Leadership at Ƶ Law and Senior Faculty member at the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL), has been appointed special adviser by the North Carolina Bar Association for the organization's Young Lawyer Initiatives Task Force. Smith will advise the task force on the creation of a Leadership Academy for young lawyers.
Sixty-five Ƶ Law students initiated into William Hooper Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta

On September 22, Ƶ Law's William Hooper chapter of the professional law fraternity Phi Alpha Delta initiated its fourth pledge class. This year the chapter inducted its largest pledge class ever with sixty-five new members. Founded in March of 2009, Phi Alpha Delta now has a total membership of 130.

The Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation has announced that it will award four-term North Carolina governor and Ƶ Law advisory board member James B. Hunt, Jr. with the foundation's Frank E. Taplin, Jr. Public Intellectual Award.
