Spring 09: ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ awards honorary doctorate to alumnus Noel Allen

Noel Lee Allen, a 1969 ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ alumnus whose distinguished legal career has won international accolades, received an honorary doctor of humane letters during ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ’s Convocation for Honors on March 31. The degree was conferred by President Leo M. Lambert and presented by John G. Sullivan, professor emeritus of philosophy.

Catherine Ross Dunham, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Professor of Law at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ School of Law, dissects the evolutionary path of personal jurisdiction from its Pennoyer v. Neff roots, to the contemporary e-jurisdiction issues raised in Zippo Manufacturing Co. v. Zippo Dot Com., in her article published in the Winter 2009 edition of the University of San Francisco Law Review.
