Professor Sue Liemer’s research over the past year has been showcased at national conferences and will be published in forthcoming journals and books that serve as resources for legal writing educators.

The challenge, which began in November with an idea pitch, culminated in April with three teams presenting ventures to a panel of judges.

Helen Tsiolkas recently completed a legal residency-in-practice with The Carroll Companies, one of the region's largest real estate developers. She shared insights of her experience for the latest profile in an occasional series of stories on residency placements for ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law's Class of 2018.

Tiffany Atkins and Drew Simshaw presented research on April 18, 2018, at the Southeastern Regional Legal Writing Conference hosted by Georgia State University and Emory University.

Former U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch and famed civil liberties attorney Alan Dershowitz will visit ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law in the next academic year as part of the Distinguished Leadership Lecture Series presented by the Joseph M. Bryan Foundation.

Judges welcomed students to the Robert E. Long Courtroom on April 11 before lawyers for a convicted drug trafficker argued that a search warrant in his case was constitutionally defective, while a separate case had attorneys seek a new civil trial for their client - a drunk bicyclist injured by a driver under the influence of marijuana.
